I looked at that set up for my Audi but decided against it in the end and went with the concealed display. Where the V1 info is shown is like a message section in the dash-pod, it shows the CD info, what CD, track number and if your fuel gets low then that section is disabled as a message centre and just shows the petrol pump to tell you to stop being a mean git and go by some fuel!
The system connects into the message centre from the back of the Bose head unit, I would guess the V1 display might not work if the car had an error as I believe these are also shown in this section.
It is a nice idea though.
Wow, I want that for my VW MFD
I want one of those ... is that just Audi or i can setup this with any car ?Originally Posted by guit123

They are just Audi, it interfaces the V1 into the Audi messaging system via a control box that fits at the back of the stereo, the control box interfaces the Audi messaging system and passes the info from the V1 to the dash display.
thanks , thats fine i can get an Audi :-)Originally Posted by Ade

Sneak out without her, by the Audi, take it home and tell her it just followed you...
There use to be a product for BMW's called the StealthOne. This Audi system looks greatl, good to see people are still continuing integrating into the cars info systems.
