    Default Reprogrammed... but it's new?

    V. How to tell if V1 has been changed from factory settings.

    * If the unit has been changed, P will appear briefly in the Bogey Counter soon after V1 is switched on (after the lamps-on test, but before the Mode indicator appears.)

I purchased a *new* V1 but the P does appear as described above.

    Why?

    Hi

If you are showing the P on start up then the programming is not standard, in other words it has been altered from the factory default.

I'd take a look here http://www.valentine1.com/lab/MikesLabRpt3.asp and check through your programming to see what isn't set to default. Odd though if its a new unit.

    Hi

You asked why, all I can say is check your settings against the default settings on that page. If all your settings match the defaults then their might be a problem with your V1, on the other hand you might find that you have inadvertently changed a setting and checking against the defaults will let you know if that has happened.

Just a thought, are you new to V1?

You aren't seeing the "P" in PoP are you as that flashes through the display one letter at a time on start up.

The P was present the very first time I turned it on 2 days ago. Thanks.

Possibly, although IMO it appears as described here: http://www.valentine1.com/lab/MikesLabRpt3.asp .

Sounds like that might be what you're seeing, it does look similar.

Turn off your V1 then turn it back on again and watch the display. When you see the P the next thing you will see is a o then another P. If that is what you're seeing it is the PoP message and not the programming P.

You can change a setting and switch the V1 on and off again to see the programming P, it is different. Just remember to change the setting back if you don't need it when you're finished.

It will briefly gives you " P " because one of the modes are changed ....i would recommend you to just go through the options and see which one is tuned off or ON .... .... remember

1 - Arrow should be down
    J - Arrow should be Down ...

You are good to go .. dont worry about playing with other options if this is a new toy for you

Note : hold the knob and turn it on , all the lights will start blinking
strat pushing the knob and to change the option hold the knob ...
