    Default V1 in Central Florida

    I have my v.3818 set to:

    X = Off
    POP = Off
    K-Mute = 30 sec
    K = Un-Mute @ 4 bars
    Ka = More Responsive

    Remote display positioned inside instrument cluster just below driver's line of vision.

    How does this sound to the V1 pros?

    Does the K-band mute for 30 seconds and then if it breaks four bars it alerts? I'm unfamiliar with the auto muting.

    Right, it mutes up to strength 4 bars or alert duration 30 secs. If either condition is met then the detector unmutes.

    Mute rear K band and you'll see a big difference. It will mute K band when the arrows indicate side or rear.

    Never use big L when muting K band. This way you have muted alerts but yet have good visual alert.

    I know Ka seems to predominate in Central Florida but I would still worry about a bear on my 6 if I muted rear K band detection.
    Thanks anyway.
