    Default What does POP2 mean?

Lot of resellers of the V1 now say it can detect POP2.. i dont know what this means..
If i order a new V1 from the Valentine's website do i get this feature and the latest updated software uploaded in it?

POP2 simply means two-band (K and Ka) POP. The units purchased directly from Valentine always has the latest firmware/hardware revision available.

Ku is definitely smart to turn off in the USA, it's not used, will not be introduced, and will introduce falsing.

SWS, I think on or off is neutral. SWS is a subset of K-band, so the detector doesn't waste any time during normal sweeps looking for SWS -- only when K-Band signals are detected will it try to parse them for SWS data.

In other words, it doesn't hurt to have it on. On the other hand, you're probably gonna see it once in your lifetime if that, so what's the point?

Leave it off on the 9500i, it demonstrates better range with it off, not to mention it cuts down on the potential of falsing. (Though of course you're welcome to drive around with it on for a few days to see if it really causes additional POP falsing)...
