    Erick,

That's interesting the way you routed the wiring for the V1. I did it the hard way and removed all the A-pillar trim, the sun visor, and half the windshield molding in order to run a phone cord to my V1. That "old-school" technique would have saved me some time.

Can you give some details on how you routed the wiring through the firewall? Is there a convenient grommet on the passenger's side that will feed nicely into the passenger side footwell where the fuse panel is?

Your on the right track. There's a grommet under the passenger dash that you can piggy back your wiring on. However, our going to need a "feeder" to punch through first then pull your wires through.

BTW: On Sheila the new car, I was unable to punch through the firewall so I took the wires through the front fender and around the inside door frame. Used conduit to finish out the route and it looks pretty good and was hours easier than going through the firewall. Also, the firewall install always made me nervous because of how close the engine was to the wires. The fenderwell install keeps everything out of the way.

    "Feeder?" A.K.A. "coat hangar?"

Actually, I have a couple of fish tapes as well as some fiberglass rods that are expressly designed for fishing wires, although until now I've only used them to fish wires inside the walls of my house - never in a car.

Yeah, I've seen a couple instances where people did that. I always wondered about water infiltration, but as long as the wiring is well-protected (Vaeline-filled wire loom, anyone?) it should be fine.

Thanks for the info - I'm one step closer to pulling the trigger on a 9500ci!

Do you have a pic of how you routed the wires that way?

The ZR3 is an add on to the SR7 concealed radar detector. It is a low power jammer but on a small car can be very effective against guns susceptible to jamming. My most common laser threat is the Pro Laser 3 which is the most jammable gun made. So it works fine. You can buy a SR7/SRX but I think if your interested in the integrated RD/Jammer system take a look at the 9500ci. The detector end is much better than the SR7/SRX.

If you really want to shut laser down completely look at the Laser Interceptor, Laser Park Pro systems. I personally think those two are the best out there right now but there are some other nice systems. guysoflidar.com has come comparison test that are worth checking out so you can form your own opinion.

Would you mind telling me how you wired up that LED on the dash? What does it connect to with what wires? Where did you find the instruction to take apart the dash on the C6? Thanks for the help!

    that's an excellent forum^

Quick answer: the LED light on the dash comes with the SR7/ZR3. I "snaked" it along the crease in the dash and plugged it into the back of the ZR3 control box. Probably the simplest thing to install in the whole system
