Default Valentine One and ZR3 hardwire install on a Corvette C6

These are old pics but I'm posting them anyway in case some vette owner lurks in here looking for some info.

The Valentine One fresh from the stork

Clipping the connector I don't need.

Start feeding the wire across here.

A little old school installation tools.

Fuse panel behind the passenger footwell

(IMPORTANT: The V1 and ZR3/SR7/SRX/External Speaker must be installed in the three fuses indicated. They are the only switchable circuits in the box according to Escort.)

Thanks to the low cabin roof of the C6 the V1 is now not only high point in the cabin but also in line of sight.

Forward shifters and the SR7 receiver

    Rear shifter (for detection only)

    External speaker

    Mute button

    Visual warning

Time for a Cuba Libre and some NASCAR.

Just wonderin, have you and possibly a lady friend been in the fort worth area, say in the last month or so in that car??
And has your V1 been hardwired since you got it? If it has, ignore me lol.

I saw a silver C6 with a V1 using the cigg cord up here not long ago, I pointed up to my V1 and have him a nod, but he just drove off lol.

The visual warning light picture would have been made much cooler if your speedo was at 170MPH in the background.

Seriously though nice install... personally I would wire it further away from the RVM (to the drivers side of the car more), and up a bit higher (especially with jammers), but its fine where it is.

Overall nice clean install. Im glad to see someone uses one of the most effective Installation tools ever developed... a CD. Then you can turn around and use it for a coaster for the beer and you watch a game. Now that folks... is a diverse tool.

I like where the ZR3 'main control center' is mounted (above the RVM).

Mute button+External speaker: NICE finishing touches.

Awesome, I thought you had the SR7 too, did you install that later? I'm installing the SR7/V1 combo this weekend in my car. You never had any interference right?

No, these pictures were taken when I sent my SR7 back to escort for a retune. I got the V1 to substitute for the absence of the SR7. When the SR7 head unit was pulled I had to install the ZR3 head unit for a few weeks to run the jammer while the SR7 was in the hospital.

For the record: The SR7/ZR3 upgrade leaves the SR7 head unit in place, the CPU is what is replaced. Then it effectively becomes an SRX in SR7 clothing.

I agree, the V1 would be better mounted center to the driver. I thought the wiring would reach but it didn't.

Yeah, I don't think alot of people realize that. An SR7 w/ shifters is about $200 cheaper than a SRX on eBay. BTW your videos were motivation for me looking into in the SR7 and buying it.
