Default Setting Ka band to more sensitivity

I just reprogrammed my V1 to the more responsive in the Ka mode but I dont see in programming instructions if there is a way to also increase K band sensitivity band as well. Any know of how or if this can be done? According to Radar Roys link I think he said Kustom would be using the Ku band sometime in 2006 here in the US. Drive safely and happy motoring.

Question...In the programming mode, how did you increase Ka sensitivity?

    Thanks!

Set option 5 to "down arrow". It doesn't actually increase sensitivity, it just makes the meter more responsive (meaning it pegs out at maximum sooner).

CactusMan, there is no equivalent setting for K band. K is already more "responsive" in that the signal carries farther, so the meter tends to peg at longer distances to begin with.

    Default Correction

Thanks guys for the response. After getting a good night sleep (never reprogram at midnight:30) and rereading Section 5 of the programming instructions, I DID NOT increase Ka Band sensitivity but rather I DID make the Ka Band signal strength meter more responsive. I don't know if this is an advantage or disadvantage but I can always change it back to default. I too thought about this this morning and went back and checked what I had really done. Thanks again guys for your imput. Drive carefully and happy motoring.

You dont increase sensitivity just LED reaction. For example if you had a Ka band speed sign and at 1 mile away you got 3 out of 8 LED warning well by turning this option on at the same point you would get 6 LED warning.

Ka is a much more threatning band. More line of sight, and the signal doesn't travel as far. So, you will want a more "threatning" warning to slow you down faster.

If the V1 was set this way at the 2005 SML test, it would have blown everything away in radar detection like it did in the laser and RDD testing.
