Default I've Seen The Light !

Well I did it. I ordered a New V1 that as I type this is on it's way to the Hotel I'll be staying at in Maine.
I've seen the Light and about to see the Arrows....
I will be using the V1 mostly for Highway driving.
So do I mount it High or.... :?: . I drive a large SUV.
What mode should I run it in?
Any suggestions or feedback is welcomed.
I'm sure it will take some getting used to, as I'm used to my Bel 985 with Voice Alerts
The wife and I will be travelling through Maine, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvannia.
I'll keep you posted of what I find. Who knows maybe I can convince the wife to shoot some video....

    Congrats on your purchase!

I drive a Lincoln Navigator and an Chevy Avalanche and have my V1 mounted high (per Mike V.'s recommendation on the VR website) in both vehicles. I get approx 1.5 to 2 miles warning on Ka band and 1.5 miles warning on K. I usually run in Logic (small L) mode where I'm familiar. When in a heavy X band area (near strip malls, etc) I run in Advanced-Logic (big L). For the first couple of weeks I ran in All-bogeys (A mode) to get familiar with the alerts that were stationary.

    I hope you enjoy your V1. 8)

    Good choice...

Mount it high and hardwire it so there's no cord hanging down. Run in advanced logic (L) mode. Program out X band and crank up the Ka sensitivity...
