    Default Super laser sensitive!

I did a test the day before I shipped my laser to stalker, and I forgot to post these results!

When I stood about 15 feet away and did my tests to see if the x50 & v1 would pick it up, of coarse the x50 did not alert when i hit headlight, and the plate fromt hat range. V1 alerted every time...

Heres the thing, I stood off angle about 8 feet and did the same test again, and none of them alerted.

Is v1's laser sensitivity actually picking up somthing transmitted from the gun other then laser? Prof. Jim, this is a question is directed toward ya

    I don't think so.
Although some very strong pulsed RF sources (such as the aircraft radar) can sometimes trigger laser alerts, since the laser gun isn't actually transmitting any RF I don't see this happening: somehow the V1 is picking up the laser.

Technically the circuits in the gun -could- emit some RF unintentionally, but I doubt it would be enough to trigger an alert...

The V1 has a wide-angle lens and a highly sensitive laser circuit, so it doesn't have to be directly on axis for it to detect. All it needs is a fringe of the beam to hit the lens, and beep!

I have discovered a way to get my 1.7 to laser false real good.
If I drive into direct sunlight then hit the windshield wiper/washer system full blast my laser warning goes nuts.
This might work better up high as this was with my visor mount.
You got to be careful though because you can't see much.
