Has the J bug been fixed?

(1) I'm not convinced that the J-out and the cop are related events. Though they may be.

It's real and I'm very convinced that the V1 J's LEO and have seen it, experienced it several times with 35.5.

but I don't think that this feature is useless. I think it's a good tradeoff of false alert reduction to false false alert risk.

The J alert will never be fixed and VR has admitted it that it is not 100% perfect. Case and point. The V1 can get a false Ka alert and yet won't J it out. It will also J a false Ka alert and a true ka alert or LEO. I think it is useless because it is not 100% perfect.

I've had several Ka alerts that were real LEOs and none of them have been J'd out. The only J alert that I have seen was when a Cobra came flying around the corner on my way home. Confirmed false.

I have the 3.863 and encountered several J-outs and all are crappy detectors----NONE have been a real KA radar J out

Same here on my 3.861. Anytime I have had A J-out, there was no LEO in sight. I slow down and go on alert if I get any kind of Ka activity. Better safe than sorry.

Supposedly pop will make a difference.

I have had mine off since almost the beginning and I never get J's besides two very early on.

I get J's from time to time, but since I turn pop off, it's 75% less.
good thing about J'ing out a real KA, it is that it beeps up to 4-6 dots for 1-2 secs then J out.

POP is off PHIL, I rarely and I mean quite never get a false KA hit, so I always respond as I did this time....I knew before it J'd it out something was up because of the BEL type ramp up.....

You just have to bite the bullet davekr. VR will never make this feature bulletproof. I'd wish they will be able to have a version where it will be an option in the future and I'll be the first one to upgrade.

You know I kind of agree with you. I may send it in for a check up in the future but I think I will not do it soley based to get the J bug fixed which apparently can't be right now.....
