I noticed it was not un-muting until 6 lights when I thought I had programed it to 4.
After reading the programing instructions, it looks like the 4-light thing is for "onset" of the radar encounter.
It is supposed to stay muted until 6 lights, as long as it starts below 4 and works its way up. ( unless you program it to stay muted for all K-band)
Did I read that right?
BTW I was demonstrating the "L" mode to my not-so-impressed wife on the noisiest section of road near our home. (4 door openers in about a mile)
We went through the first time in "A" mode so I could show off the arrows and all the false alerts. (she runs an SRX, so she is used to them) When we came through the second time ( in "L" mode), the false alarms went from 6 alerts, (this ia counting the "rear" alerts) down to two.....
Wrong! The second alert was too strong, too soon, to be the last door opener I was expecting. It was well over six lights 1/8-1/4 mile before we got to the intersection with the door opener.
At the intersection, there he was, a county car with C/O K-band waiting on the cross road (just to turn, not a speed trap) at about an 80 deg. angle!
