Default V1 question by an european guy

    about that post http://www.radardetector.net/viewtopic.php?t=3994

i tied my rx65 mountet high or low vs an LTI Ultralyte telelaser and i have NO WARNING.

i wanted to pass to a valentine one...but in italy there isn't reseller and the only way to buy is ebay...

    the problem is...
    there's a lot of v.1.7 and v.1.8 without euro mode about 300$...

for me...is it a must for an european the euro mode?
(in italy there is only one type of radar!! but a lot of telelaser)

    any opinion?

Yes, I think that is very reasonable. In fact, If someone offered me that deal, I would trade my RX-65 in a second.

According to this Listing http://www.radardetector.net/viewtop...=turning+bands Italy uses X, K and Ka Band. For this purpose is a older v 1.7 Valentine1 without "U" euro mode absolutely sufficent. I only heard, that the new 1.8 V1's euro mode should filter a little bit better some traffic sensors and add some bands that seems to be used in europe but not in us. I for myself neve got catched with my "old" v1.7 in switzerland. I don't think, that italy is that different.

I like the new advanced "u" euro mode, which completely deactivates the K band. I use it only in cities. so i don't get warned about some older, fixed radars which use K band...but I usually know where they are (and I don't drive fast in cities). So I never get falses in cities
