Default How to unmute after you hit mute?

Is there anyway to get out of mute on demand?

If you are in A mode, You can flip through the modes and that should clear it once you come back to A mode.

Hmm, you could also turn it off then on (but this is sort of impractical)

Also: after the alert expires for a few seconds, if another one gets detected again it would be at normal volume again. However, it can't return very quickly otherwise the V1 will still remain muted (from my experiences).

By the way, has anyone noticed how if the V1 is muted it will still remain muted even if the alert disappears for a few seconds but then reappears. I'm pretty sure this is not my imagination.

It's not your imagination, don't worry. I experience the same thing around this corner I go around everyday. For the two seconds or so that I'm off axis the V1 stops picking it up, but when it comes back it's muted still. This is in "A" after I've manually pushed mute.

I'm asking this because from time to time I have to stop at a red light in front of a store with a door opener. The non-stop alert from the same door opener gets annoying really quickly but a real LEO threat may be just around the corner. That's why I'm asking how to unmute it quickly after the traffic light turns green.

I'm pretty sure the only options are: turning the V1 off then on, cycling through the modes, or just turning the volume down during the red light and back up when it's green. The V1 isn't perfect, but nothing is. Case in point: Angelina Jolie. Beautiful, but out of her mind.

That mute button is practically useless in a way.

Mute will persist until the detector is reset or doesn't detect anything for like 5 secs or so.

However, even under mute the bogey lock and new-band tone will sound at full volume.

Furthermore, your muted volume should be one that you can still hear, just not in-your-face loud and annoying.

    This is a valid point.

It should un mute any new threat encountered while the existing mute is in force.

Example: X band door opener detected. You mute it. While the X band is muted you still hear the X band at muted volume. Now add a new K band threat that is detected. The original X band and the new K and are both at muted volume.

You do get the Bogey Lock tone at normal volume and you get a 2 on the counter but I feel the new K band should come in at normal volume as well.

Just my thoughts... What do you guys think?

I don't think so, that would make the V1 chatty.

I would like to see an additional tap of the mute button bringing back regular volume.
Currently for all you Newbies tapping the mute button twice disables the bogy lock tone for the reset period.

The V1 mute reset time period is 10-seconds, so if a muted signal is lost then comes back within 9-seconds it will stay muted.

The reset period works in K automuting as well, during a K automuting encounter your chosen automute time period restarts 10-seconds after loosing the signal.
If the signal is lost then comes back within 9-seconds or less your original chosen time period is still ticking.
