Going to work the other day I was really suprised at how far the rear antenna picked up radar. I passed two LEO's, one running X and one running Ka, and it held onto them for almost 3 miles. Whew!
That is all.

my record for X is 2.2 miles on the rear antenna
I was getting a Ka last night for juuust over a mile on the rear antenna.Originally Posted by hockey005

I sometimes believe the rear antenna works better than the front. Wow, over 3 miles huh? That's great!
I had a great V1 experience this weekend. I was winding along a road next to the mississippi river "down the bayou". To my left, the river levy about 30 ft high, to my right, full residential. Then my "Ka" alerts...... the road dissappears to my left about 1/2 mile ahead (LEO must be around the bend, right?).... I round the bend, as my strength steady increases to now 3 leds. The road dissappears as it winds to the right now about 1/2 mile more..... still no LEO.... I round that second bend as my strength reaches full alert. About 1/2 mile more and I round another bend. Just as I round it I see him..... with a customer I guess.....Originally Posted by proudNMAmember
This was 1-1/2 miles total and three blind bends, BUT..there is more.
I circled and went back past in the opposite direction. The rear Antenna picked up the same LEO except that after the 3rd blind bend at about 1-1/4 miles the reception was weak and intermittent .
The rear nearly equaled the front and the road bends illustrate the V1 superior sensitivity. This machine is without peer.
good day i see
The rear antenna on the V1 is more sensitive than most RD's front antenna. Its like getting 2 RD's for the price of 1.
