Is a refurb going to be the latest version? Has anyone had trouble with buying a refurb? What does VRR do to the unit before selling it as a refurb?

the refurb units are the ones people return for the 30 day money back trials...when u call VR will probably say that there are none is stock but in a few days there will be..and yes u will most likely get the 3.864 (unless u are in europe the 3.863 is pretty much the same thing)
i got a ****ty refurb once, i had to send it back and buy a new one. if you are lucky u will get a good one.
I ordered a refurb and I'm totally happy with mine. Couldn't tell the difference from a new one at all.
I'm not one to roll the dice. I'd go new. Although I have no experience with V1 refurbs. That's just me.
X2, no refurbs for me. I know way to well what out of box/refurbs really are. I don't wants someone else's problem that got fixed.Originally Posted by LordV

My guess is a lot of people return V1 because it is too noisy for their taste.
I would easily buy a refurbished, but the waiting list was long at the time.
V1 replaces everything to make it look/operate brand new. I would compare it with Apple's refurbished products. You can't tell a difference except for the price!
I returned a new one and bought a refurb a few months later. I can't tell the difference.
