so i re-bought a v1, need programming advice
Hey guys, First question!, Muting k band, mutes x band also, correct?
and now for my settings i would like/want advice/suggestions
1-6 : unchanged
7 : down to enable
8 : unchanged
A : unchanged as i am worried it would alert at muted volume if a KA came into range, yes/no?
B : down
C : down
D : Up
(those for 15second k band automute(and xband automute also correct?)
rest unchanged, as i want it to unmute if it's more than 4 right off, and i want it to unmute at 6
how does this sound?
Yes i realize i leave pop on, what can i hurt, maybe a few more J outs right?
So suggestions/opinions appreciated? My v1 should arrive within 2hrs now, so hopefully you guys can help me out
Also do you guys find 15seconds is to high or to little?

Now that I am more comfortable with the V1 Ive gone a little further.
30 second delay with E and F down as the K falses regularly exceed 4 and 6 lights. I have the muted volume lever at 12 o'clock and main volume to 3 o'clock.
So far it work's perfectly, and I can hear muted alerts with a reasonable music volume. Of course I go to "A" mode when heading out of the city.

My V1 should arrive this afternoon. And I have no idea of what y'all are talking about with the programming! Now I feel overwhelmed! LOL!

It's not that big of a deal. Read these:

It all makes sense in no time. Get a feel for how the V1 works out of the box first. Then, depending on your area, decide if the K band mute programming is right for you.

Thanks the links.
Tons of K door openers in my area. But Leo's also use K around here. I am looking forward to fiddling with the V1 though. Can't wait to see the directional arrows in action.

Can anyone confirm this? I've never heard that if you mute K band, X band automatically mutes.
Valentine 1, Ver. 3.864 -- Mounted high on visor, hardwired, w/concealed display.
Cheetah GPS Mirror -- With Valentine RD1 Interface, hardwired.
Dual-Head Laser Interceptor.
Next up -- Two LI slims for the back.

This is the most detailed explanation you'll find on RD.net about Rear K-band Automute options, how different AutoMute settings work and RacerX also tested range loss in small L -mode and big L -mode.
