Default V1 and Laser Shield saved the day

My wife just took a trip back to the east coast... This means travelling through OH! Well I had the chance to slap the Laser Shield on her black car, and she had her V1 in the car... Well I warned her before she left that OH is the laser capital of the world... And EVIL! Well she listened, but still didn't slow her down much. She was hauling down the interstate in fairly heavy traffic all moving at a brisk pace. The V1 starts screaming LASER, she hits the brakes and sees the officer targeting her... He hit her twice with laser... All I can figure is that he targeted the plate the first shot, didn't get a reading, and then reshot the headlight. She braked fast enough that he didn't get a lock at excessive speeds... Unfortunately the people in front and behind her weren't so lucky as the wolf pack was pulling them over in droves. OH shouldn't have any state sales, property, or any taxes for that matter at the rate they r@pe motorists...

Morale of the story is the V1 and laser shield did the job. I need to get some veil on her car before she hits the road the next time. She was lucky, but I can say this stuff we read about here on the forum really does work.

    Drive safe, have fun,

Cool story. Maybe you should submit it to VR as a "V1 Moment".

And get some Veil on that car!
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

I bet Mike V. wouldn't consider it for a V1 Moment because of the Laser Shield.

There's a V1 moment on the site already that mentions the use of an anti-laser plate cover.

Since the V1 alerted and allowed the driver to slow down, along with help from the Laser Shield, I think it would still qualify.

As you might imagine my wife was blown away she didn't get a ticket. I think she was surprised it worked. She was lucky they were shooting far enough down the road that she was alerted and they didn't get a lock the first shot. I consider it a lucky encounter considering that she only had laser shield on the car. Your right I need to get Veil on her car soon(I still haven't done it). I think Veil would have made it tough for them to get a lock until she was fairly close and plenty of time for her V1 to tell her to slow down. The V1 is impressive with the laser detection and clearly was the difference between getting a ticket with this encounter.
