Finally gave in and ordered a V1

I have been using radar detectors since 1982 and have owned Bel and Escort brands only. For 6 months a voice has been pestering me to try a V1 and see what all the hoopla is about. Well I finally gave in and ordered one and cant wait to try it out. Im a commercial driver and currently use a STI and am happy with it, But a V1 will do well on my Motorcycle wont it

. Im sure I will take the V1 on the road with me and test it in the states with no spectre also. Just wanted to share my Obsession with radar detectors continues lol

(cant wait to get home off the road in 1 week cause the V1 is waiting for me)

Welcome to the V1 family!

You will definitely enjoy the V1 and all of its features. Since you are in CA KA and Laser are your biggest threats. K band is out there but not used by the CHP. Most likely some local LEO's still use K band so watch out for them.

I agree I have not had a K-band LEO encounter in my area in over 1year, but Long beach Motor cops still use handheld K so I cant disable it completely. Auto mute should quiet it down enough to tolerate I hope.

Aww I was expecting something better than that...lol.

California LEOs run Ka and Laser mostly, the only K I've been hit with was those speed limit trailers. Im east of Sac.

ok since Im an owner now could you explain the Zombie syndrome to me. Where it originated and should we be concerned etc. Is it one step up from Radar fanatic etc. My g-friend already thanks im nuts owning nearly 1700 bucks worth of radar detectors.

But with each save I just smile and she does that roll the eyes thing chicks do

I also ordered a New V1 today. This would be my 2nd V1. I sold my 1st V1 to the guy who bought my M3. I love the arrows and the filtering circuitry. V1 saved me many tickets.

V1 Zombie syndrome is way more serious than radar detector fanaticism... It affects 99% of V1 owners and causes them to realize no other detector can match the performance and reliability of the V1...

But seriously, enjoy your V1

... it really is an experience like no other.
