Installing the V1 in a e39

So I just got a 2002 BMW 530 (e39) and I have a V1 on the way. And I am planning to bring it over to Eric from StealthOne as soon as the rd arrives to have an S1 installed.

I would like to hardwire the V1 at the same time. I was planning to go with this sort of stealth install (in the headliner by the lights/sunroof controls)...www.540i6.com/v1.html but I just realized that my car has a different access panel, it has controls for the garage door opener right in the middle of that panel, and a piece behind it.

So now my question is, do I go ahead with this install and try to get an OEM part for this panel without the garage door opener? I don't have a need for the garage door opener. But my other concern about this install is that there is some metal in the area, its not level, and the IR rain sensor is in front of it (for the windshield wipers).

Should I go for a rear center headrest install instead? Or do you have any better ideas?[/url]

no dont do that install at all..just hardwire the v1 above or next to your RVM..get a concealed display if u want

Why not do the access panel install?

I want it hidden since I will be living in the city soon. Also the summer heat is pretty bad in a black car (I have heard that heat damages the rd over time, and I know from experience that the suction cups do not hold in the heat).

No need for the concealed display since I am getting a stealthone...www.stealthone.biz
