Last week I was on my hunt for X band in the Adirondacks here in NY. I didn't find it... it was all Ka band. This video is why the arrows on the V1 are needed... I was following a cop who turned, and then on the same road there was a cop coming towards me. I wouldn't have known that since there were multiple bogeys from the police station, plus a false K band and X band door opener.

Just to play devil's advocate, if that situation happened to me using another RD, like my 9500i for instance, it would not take me more than 2 sec after that first LEO turned off to figure out that there was a second contact in that same scenario, especially in spec mode.

That would still be tough to tell since the police station was right there with a bunch of cars. The arrows pointed ahead at a reduced alert and then ramped up. It would still be confusing at first as to why it was ramping up when the cop turned. Simple solution would be the arrows.

I didn't notice the police station. That might have added to the situation, but still, I highly doubt anyone would be dumb enough to gotten a ticket in that situation.
