Where DO they go for Donuts?
Ok, so I'm driving on down my street, and get a Ka report, in an unusual place. Then the BogeyMan counter goes up to 2, then, wait a second, the middle arrows flicker, then the arrow to the rear lights up, while the forward arrow blinks.
Now, I didn't see any cops, and there was no where for those vulture photo-radarists to perch. Also, I'm still gettin used to this new V1 of mine. But around the block I go, slower, same game.
Ahah! Figured it out. 2 photo radar vans in a parking lot of a coffee shop. They leave their guns on! (To catch parking lot speeders, while they have a donut?)
This V1 is really quite awesome. I no longer feel guilty for cheating on my former Belle -- Bel 65, that is.
Two weeks so far and I've had 2 absolutely definite saves from photo radar, 1 definite save as well as a "maybe" on the highway from Mounties with c/o Ka facing forward, and I've sniffed out about 4 other legitimate speed radars but where I didnt' need saving.
With so much "saving" going on here, it would be appropriate to say "Hallelujah." Either that or "Ka-ching!" Depending on the religious icon of your preference, I suppose.
;-) (just havin' fun, guys -- I should hope no one would take offense, as none is intended -- that is, unless you're a radar-traffic enforcement cop, in which case, I'm thumbing my nose at you)

I also switched from the rx65 and can say Im glad I did. Its hard at first to adapt to but once it "clicks" its alot of fun.
Yeah, I think it's starting to click in for me. I really like the "65" a lot, always got a kick outta the voice alert, even though it wasn 't necessary.
I thought the ramp up was good on the 65, but I'm thinking it's quite a bit better on the V1.
Most importantly, though, I get the very reassuring impression that the V1 detects sooner, which leaves me feeling much calmer, and not panicking to spot-the-Leo, when I hear an alert.
Money well spent!

The V1 is a step up from my v995. Not huge, but the directional awareness takes the cake.
