Well I went for 3.864 for two reasons:

    1) It works fantastic for me.

    and

    2) It's the only one I know

IMO for pure performance with no b.s.

    3.813 > 3.818 > 3.826 > current.

However, all of these older analog units need to be sent in once a year for a tune up.

3.813 was the last V1 without POP aka POOP implementation. It was the good old days of conventional radar. Like Staton said though if you have a V1 that is 3.826 or older send it in once a year for a tune up because all of the analogs tend to go out of tune slowly

3.813 and older as there seems to be something wrong with pop models that causes K band to ghost big time making the bogy counter useless.
    My 1.7 is deadly accurate.

so the new ones are less prone to go out of tune because of the temperature compensation thing?

That's because the bottom 1/4" is all laser circuity.
Six diodes on the bottom two looking at a 45 degree angle like the STi copied.

In 13 years my radar has never fallen out of tune, my problems are laser has gone bad about 3 times.
