Say the V1 is annoying or desensitizes you all you want. At least it gives you warning of threats....instead of ignoring them like Truelock. At least the V1 gives you the opportunity to ignore them yourself. As opposed to deciding FOR YOU mistakenly that its not a threat as you drive around cluelessly. Silence is more dangerous than racket. One has a chance of failure, one guarantee's it. "Chatty" = Detecting Radar.....ironic isnt it?

Can you explain what you mean by that?
You can't change modes on the Escort with one either...only MUTE signals (or Mute and Block them on a 9500i).

He meant that the V1 won't let you into programing mode to change the settings while using the Escort power cord. In the V1, you hold down the mute botton (mute button on the V1) to get into programing mode.

you can still get into programming on the unit itself though even though it'd be using a Escort cord?

would the mute button itself on the Escort cord mute a signal on the V1?

no...i mean if u just plug the v1 into the cig lighter thing and program it that way and just set it on A mode and put it up on ur escort hardwire u will be fine..there are a lot of options for muting K band from the rear..i have none enabled myself but want to experiment with them soon but a lot of people on here have the K band options set up

you cannot get into programing mode, or change settings at all with the Escort power cord. However, you can mute any alerts from the Cord controller or the V1 unit directly.
