It's been almost a year since I found this wonderful detector on eBay and had her tuned up. So this is a friendly reminder for those of you who have the older analog units, I would recommend sending them in AT LEAST once a year for a tune up.
Warning signs it needs a tune up.
1. Off Axis known Falses disappear.
2. Ka band performance suffers. example. Yesterday I was heading to the airport, and a officer was stopped a light running constant on 34.7 While perpendicular I did not get an alert until I was facing the patrol car.
3. When in a shopping center your V1 has to point directly at the source to alert.
4. Bogey Counter starts to ghost more than normal.
I can't complain because I knew full well going into these units that a yearly update would be required. Over all it worked out to be pretty good timing, being my 9500CI shipped out this week. So now I'll he the opportunity to test a beastly 3.813 against a brand new CI.
