I see a lot of people mentioning tuning the V1. I just bought mine so I know I'm good for a while, but how often does it need to be tuned? Is there a recommended time frame (like yearly) or is it just something you can tell it needs as it loses sensitivity?

Only if your V1 is broken. If you want a free tuneup, you'll have to convince someone at VR that it's not working properly.
