Is it possible to go backwards on your software? Has anyone done this? Cost?

No, it's impossible. You can only upgrade not downgrade
Software upgrades also match changes in firmware of production units. Thats why it is near impossible to degrade to a lower rev.
Specifications between different production runs of electronic components used in the production of products such as the V1 sometimes require a change in software to match or improve on the units operating capabilities.
you could do what i did (coincidentally 3.826 to 3.813) and find 3.813 on craigslist and ebay the other.
seems to me that even though V1 wont do it, someone out there that is really good at engineering and computer programming (stealthone guy for example) could come up with some way to pull the old firmware off the V1, save it, then reload it onto any other V1
What differences do you notice Doug any?
I actually don't have the 3.813 yet, my buddy in Houston is moving here this weekend so he'll just bring it with him.
Then I'll test both for a week or so, send the 3.813 in for a tune if it needs it, then sell the one i decide is worse on ebay.
