In case you missed it, I posted this thread earlier;
So here's my install
Anyhow, everyone said HARDWIRE! Before I bought V1, I never thought I'd be one to hardwire it. I swore to myself I wouldn't. But, here I sit, with a now hardwired V1.
I went the add-a-circuit route, and chose the light dimmer/illumination control. It sort of works as a kill switch as well. The mustang has a light control which you pull out 1 click to turn on the amber sidemarkers and fog lights (i always ride this way, even during the day) and pull out to the 2nd and final click to turn the headlights on (and leaving the amber/foglights on as well).
With the light control lever all the way in, no power to RD. With it pulled to first click or second click, RD on. Can also adjust the interior light by twisting the knob to the right... doing so kills the RD. Since I like my interior lights on max and always roll with the fog lights on, I figure this would be the way to go. Setup is the same as before, except I concealed the wiring really well.
Opinions? Ideas? Did I pick a bad circuit?
PS: I can no longer get the fuse box cover on after doing the add-a-circuit. Is this ok?
EDIT For Clarity: By 'interior lights' I meant brightness of the instrument cluster... not riding around with the overhead dome light on. Sorry for any confusion.
