Miss my V1

Long story short... My V1 was stolen about 4-5 weeks ago. I picked up an Escort 9500ix which I just returned yesterday - under the 30-day money back guarantee. Great little RD, but, the raw performance and arrows are freaking huge to me - advantage V1.

So, here I am not protected which I can live with as I don't get to crazy.

My question... I have read where V1 might have something newer in the next several months. Hear say??? Dunno.

If you were starting for square 1 again would you pick up a V1 now or just wait out till spring and see if something new is coming around the corner. I know I can upgrade too, but, again, just wanted to throw this out there and get your thoughts.

Man... that's horrible about the V1... RDs are like candy to trash...

I have messed with both and love both... (My review at the top of the V1 thread)

However, I think you have a crazy obsession for arrows!

I have heard an internal rumor of 7-12 months... Who knows the true validity- I have already had to tell people to believe what they want to believe.
So at this point do the same!

I love the V1 and the 9500ix... Both are roughly within 5-10 seconds from each other.

Good Luck! I personally, if you like the V1 from previous ownership and know of all of the notifications then buy another now and faithfully/hopefully upgrade by the end of the year or early 09.

I have had a few Escorts and a Whistler in the past... BUT, those damn arrows have me hooked. So, you're spot on about that.

I think he said in another thread that he heard from someone reputable that something was comming out in 6 months to a year but doesn't know the specifics. Hopefully it's something sweet. I know what I'm looking for in my perfect detector, and I've already stated it in two other threads so I won't open the can of worms in this thread, but I will say two things, more programming, more options.

sorry to hear about the loss....

get another one now and if yu really need to down the road..yu can upgrade later.I don't see any major improvements happening in the near future.The VI site says we have the latest and greatest..

Thanks RTT... He is correct... I know nothing else-

It may not even be some huge break through (Body Replacement) just a significant update & tweak.

Time will tell hopefully- Since I have decided to go this route
