I used to think that cold was not that big an issue with electronics, and I do leave my V1 out in the winter myself. Last winter I had one of my techs call me with an elevator that was shutdown, the machine room was down to about 20 degrees and asked if I thought the cold might be the problem. No way I said, but about 10 minutes after he put a light bulb near the CPU it went back to running.
I don't think it will cause any harm to the V1 as it has a storage temp down to -22 and operating temp at -4. If it gets to more than 20 below where you are you might want to take it in.

Every precision electronic device has an operating temperature range. Unless you are living in one of the colder states or Canada, I think you should be fine. If you do live in the aforementioned locales, it would be prudent to bring it inside.

The operating range is in the owners manual. I believe it is close to 0ºF. Even with that, it's just operating temperature, storage temperature should be lower than anything you'd encounter. Just let your car (and v1) warm up before use.
