Default My V1 volume seems low?

Ok, guys, playing with my new V1 and the I turned the volume all the way up and it seems not loud at all. I am not talking about muting. I have it mounted high. All V1's like this?

Volume via the knob is very loud.

If you have a friend who has a V1, compare the volume and see. I know someone who had an issue with theirs and it was sent back to get fixed. (No charge, shipping credited.)

No. I rarely have it past the 3:00 position with tunes playing. If I am going down the highway with the tunes on and the windows all the way down, I might get to about 4:00.

That's messed up. Definitly compare and/or send in. Not usual.

Mine is also quite loud, especially mounted high beside the RVM. I have no complaints about the alert volume from the V1.

No one I know has a V1, maybe I am just expecting more? I am not saying it is not loud, just thought it would be louder? Where is the speaker anyway?

Well, in that case, send it in. If there is a problem, they will fix it. If not, they'll let you know and you'll be out the shipping cost of about $8 USPS. The one I knew about, I heard it before it went in for an upgrade. When it came back, it sounded really tinny. Like some laptop speakers. I told the person to send it back and they did. They told me when it came back it was normal and the shipping got credited. Is it loud enough? Well I have an open pipe after the cat on the race car (rules crap) and it is loud enough to hear over the open pipe and ear plugs. YVMV. (Your volume may vary. )

That little hole on the left hand side of the V1... thats where the audio comes out.

My V1 is also rather loud... one of the louder detectors IMO.

I should point out that I have it in a visor case, I wonder if that is suppressing the volume? I can hear it just thought it would be louder.
