Default ever taught about using the v1 in euro mode while in the US

I was just thinking has any one run the v1 in euro mode in the US, I mean what would happen would it miss all the leos who run ka radar or what. Would it decrease range, I wanted to try this for fun for a couple days to see what would be the results.

Nothing would happen because Europe uses a different frequency/radar

so the v1 will completly miss all the radar frequency with ka band 33.8 35.5 amd 34.7. What about k band?

    Not exactly:

    Valentine One Frequency Coverage
    version: 3.864 and higher

    European Frequencies

    Ka:
    34.60 GHz +-40 MHz [34.56 - 34.64 GHz]

    33.80 GHz +-100 MHz [33.70 - 33.90 GHz]

(fast 33.8 GHz(POP) response may be selectively DISABLED via User Programming

K: may be ENABLED via mute knob MODE change
    24.15 GHz +-100 MHz [24.05 - 24.25 GHz]

Ku: may be selectively ENABLED via User programming (Ku On)
    13.42 GHz +-50 MHz [13.35 - 13.47GHz]

As stated above you lose detection of the most common US Ka frequency -- in fact you lose two of the three US Ka frequencies. It's probably an extremely bad idea. In fact, it is an extremely bad idea.

Upside down or right side up performance will be relatively unchanged. I think you are thinking at a 90 degree rotation, in which case it catches polarized photo radar transmitters better. AFAIK there are none of those in the States yet, but there is the Stalker ATR handheld (34.7) which is polarized horizontally. If the officer uses this gun at various angles from the "upright" position then your detection of the signal can be significantly attenuated. Unfortunately, there is not really a way to predict what direction the officer orients his gun, and the "upright" position is best detected by a regular unrotated mount to begin with.

Bottom line is, in the states you probably shouldn't be trying these silly tricks
