Posts. I'll have to take this same route. I hope the mods will do something about this.

Sarcasm goes a long way, maybe this site has a lot of blue collar members.

Reb, I could be wrong, but I think it will do both. I think I'm in either way...

I don't think many people would have acted like this against any newbie... but focalcivic.. you have been here since May 2007 and have over 2,000 posts.

OK, so everyone leaves there V-1 plugged in and juices it up when they hit the key and its OK huh........Focalcivic may have a legitamate questiion that hasn't been talked about in a while. When I used to do it, my V-1 was on but was actually off.............of sorts.
It didn't detect anything until I turned it off and back on and got quite a suprise.
Heres' the old thread:

Another V1 Glitch???

I noticed something very interesting. If you turn the key and power up, and do it again real quick the remote display will not light up, almost like it was too quick.

I guess I am in the tiny minority of those that wait until the car is started, plug in the RJ, then turn the knob.

Although, I take my V1 down everytime...

X2^

i usually wait a few seconds after start up just to make sure all the voltage spikes are over and done with just to be sure too.

i always take her down on sunny days also. even though its behind a plastic tint* i installed for stealth and cant be seen from outside the car, it can get hot up there and that cant be good for any electronics.

one year or so now and no probs

*i checked the radar detection in a parking lot here in multiple locations including behind this tint and it alerted almost just as well to the K band door opener up there as when i help it outside the car and my laser detection is still lethal also so win-win
