Default V1 and starting the car

How many V1 owners start up their cars with the V1 on?

Two of them are hardwired to the mirror and power up when the car is started. The one in the pickup stays on all the time, unless I am going to be gone for more than 2 or 3 days then I unplug it.

Mine's hardwired. It turns on when the car's turned on.

For what it's worth, I have mine wired into a kill switch and fire it up after the vehicle starts....Just to be safe.

This Q was geared towards V1 owners, curious for long times users to see if there has been any affects.

I have been leaving mine on or powering up on startup for almost 7 years with no problems.

Thanks, that answers the question, 7 years is a long time. I bet a bel or escort would have a service required message way before that.
