Hey guys, I haven't posted in a long, long time but I have a V1 that is either almost 2 or 3 years old in the summer.
I drove 900 miles Friday and it would do the whole Ka band and then either junk it out after about 5 seconds or just lose the signal. Every time, I never saw a cop.
The last time I had to send my V1 in it was doing similar things but it'd pick up an imaginary (for all I know) signal and then keep it at full blast until I'd turn it off. They fixed it under warranty and sent it back.
So, question is, what are some signs of needing calibration (but also what about my particular situation?) and also I've heard that if you're the original owner (and I am) they will sometimes fix it for free? Is this the case? If so, how do you go about doing that?
