I own both. I run the V1 in my 350Z and the ix in my work vehicle.
However, when the wife and I got the chance to take my father-in-law's C-6 convertible corvette on a 500 mile road trip, I chose the V1.
The trip was almost al highway.
I don't know of any fixed location speed cameras in Florida.
I don't run red lights.
The vette has zero laser countermeasures, and my V1 combined with the vette's low laser signature was the best chance I had against laser.
There were many advanced radar warnings but one was a laser save on 301 near starke. (A LEO left his radar on while shooting lidar and my V1 alerted to his Ka gun even though it wasn't facing us.)
The point of my post is that the V1's arrows and laser performance seem like the only choice in an area where laser is a bigger threat than fixed cameras.
(at least on a car with no laser jammer.)
