Buddy, as i said in the question " has it ever failed to detect radar." I don't give a **** if laser was/is being used I asked for radar. So your dumbass comment about "if radar isn't being used" is irrelevant and unwanted. Pay attention before you try to be a smartass. And obviously if the detector isn't working it wont detect radar. The question was; Has it failed to detect radar, assuming that otherwise its in working condition.

But I agree, it was an innocent joke, implying that no he has not experienced that. Same here, no I have not expereinced any time when my V1 has not detected radar except when I knew it was broken and i returned it to VR to be serviced. It was returned to me in working order.

A word of advice when joining a board, lurk a bit (not saying you didnt) first and get a feel for the members and thier demeanor. I believe that if you had, you would not have taken that comment as a real, serious smart-assed comment, but for the joke it was, and the actual meaning of the post being no he had not. There are ALOT of knowledgable people here and the information will come, but the setting is very lighthearted for the most part with alot of wisecracks, jokes and smartassed comments. Chill out, laugh at the jokes, smirk at the wise cracks, and absorb the information when it comes.

I always have a back-up detector to test my unit against though... so I found out rather quick.
