My V1 showing X

after about 5 minutes of just driving and no sign of anything around. If i turn it off and back on, its fine for about 5 minutes, and then back to X alert again. Any help on y this would be happening? I dont think I can send it in to V1, cause I purchased it off the internet from an individual.

So its constantly alerting X? At what strength?

It sounds like a bad component on one of the boards. As long as the serial is in tact you can send any V1 to VR for service. No matter where it was obtained from. $45 is the service fee, plus any applicable shipping. They will contact you with any additional costs OVER the $45 that it will take to fix.

You can send it to VR and they will work on it unless the guy you bought it from stole it.

So it just says X band ALL THE TIME?

You can send it to V1, even though you bought it from an individual, with the following exceptions:

1. The serial # has been tempered with or missing.

2. The unit is stolen.

Look at the back of the V1 and give us the serial #, we will teach you how to check it.

Didn't someone say that old cell phones may trigger an X band alert on the V1? You may want to do a search for it for more in-depth information.

Well how do i find out if it was stolen before i just send it in to VR and they call me and say its stolen and we cant give it back to me? I aint even tryin to do that.

Thats what I was thinking CIPS, something else in the car causing this. Regardless, send it on in to V1.
