What's going on guys? I haven't posted here in a while, although I've been meaning to. Anyhow, I had been thinking about turning X as I had never encountered X band, anywhere. I know Ohio still uses X, but I had never ever seen it, and figured that it most be for a different part of Ohio. I was gonna turn it off and then if I ever went out of my normal driving parameters, I'd turn it on. Well, then other day I was comming back from Sunbury Ohio going to Columbus, and I get a blip of X band. I don't really think anything of it as it's only a single LED, Then I get another and a little more and it breaks the logic mode threshold. I'm like, "Hmm, it kinda looks like it's a real alert, but it's X band" I'm thinking, WTF, there's nothing for it to false on here. The alert finaly get up to 6-8 LED and I know it's real, then it goes pegged and stays there for a little bit. I'm looking donw the side of the road to see if I can see him, but it's pretty clear on my side and I can see a little distance and there's nothing, so I start looking on the other side. Sure enough, 10-15 seconds later I see a highway patrol man drive past, and as soon as we pass each other the arrows shift, which was extremely useful, as about 10 seconds after the HP man passed me, another one drove by. It could have easily been him gunning and not the first one. Rear detection was also very good as it held on to the signal for a while after he passed. Just thought I'd share. I have another story about my trip to Florida and back, but I'll post that later. Anyhow, needless to say, I won't be turning X band off, LOL.
