V1 Coming - A couple of questions

So I am (was) a proud owner of Beltronics V955 but now that I got accepted into Univ. I can finally lay back and get some ME time. So I ordered a V1 and a carrying case. LOL, how spontaneous right?

Anyway, I just had a few questions before I get it.


1) What is the current revision number of V1 units.

2) Are there known issues with the current revision? I was hearing that the previous revision had ghosting issues and such.

3) How much of a performance difference will I be seeing from my previous 955?

Looks like 3.872 is still the most current version.

Less ghosting than before.

See my thread about the amazing Ka range the unit has.

No negative issues whatever. You're going to love it!

I got it yesterday from FedEx Overnight...It has to be the coolest thing since sliced bread. Just today I was driving to work, I get a Ka from ahead really weak. So I back the speed down, and just up the road is a LEO hiding behind a guardrail shhoting Instant-On down the road.

The only weird thing is that it has falsed on laser about 3 times already. I think it might be either the brake lights in front of me or the LED traffic lights that were installed about a year ago. But nothing could get me to use any other detector. I just hope ENRADD doesn't get implememnted in my area

Double check the Rev number for us, (hold the power button and turn it on wait about 5 seconds then read the number in order)

Also, what is the last 3 digits of your SN?

Congrats on the new V1. Some of the LED's used in some taillights like the GM SUV's can cause laser falsing so it is possible the LED traffic lights are causing it to false. We live in a world of technology that causes false alerts and it is part of the process of learning how to use the detector and in time you'll learn to distinguish between what is real and what is not.
