Is this quick trigger POP or are you referring to triggering instant on from the hold mode?

Since the OP was certain he was going 76 it's either as MEM-TEK says and out of calibration or he lied!

Don't forget the third, and most likely explanation, which was already mentioned; he mistook your car for another car that was actually going that speed.
Cops will totally lie to jack up an out-of-state car, and do a full body cavity search on you, looking for contraband. OK and AR are infamous for that. But not just to write a 15 over PSL speeding ticket, when there are plenty of real 20+ overs running around to keep them busy. Besides, if he was going the opposite direction, the chances that he could tell you were out of state before he chased you down are slim to none anyhow.

The OP is not the first person to say their detector missed a DSR alert. Take a look at o2bad455 and my posts in this thread.
I would assume the OP might have had the same issue.

I have had a few stalker DSR 2x show up in the 34.9 range. Two times my Sti alerted to 34.90X (or 34.87X) where my Sti-R was silent. I had band 5 enabled only on the -R.
I have since enabled segments 4, 5 and 6 on the STi-r and have not missed an alert the the other detector caught since.
Perhaps stalker is letting the frequencies drift up outside what the detectors are looking for normally - Just a guess.
Around the curve can cause errors due to possible reflection specially when there are metal guardrails. If you were sure about your speed, you just have to tell the court you're not guilty and was a mistaken identity. Problem is if you are out of state, it would cost more to appear in court.
The only thing I can think about is overheating issue of the V1. If you have drove for hrs. and no air vent pointed at your V1, it may have overheated. When the V1 overheats, it does not get an alert. It is a known issue for the V1 not to alert when it overheats. What V1 version do you have?First...why did it not alert?
I have a question, why don't radar manufactures add a feature so the leo can set a I/O time? I'm thinking that it would work how I set my shutter speed on my camera. I could set the burst to 400ms and when I hit the button it would shoot for that time automatically and then show the speed for 1 second on the display with the option to lock it in. It could also have a built in min - max setting so that the LEO could not go too low and effect the reliability of the reading. This feature would be good because when I have seen I/O shot and the reading is really fast and really hard to read. What do you guys think?
