Default Specifics of the V1's Threat Display Capabilities

I am currently concidering replacing X50 Red that I purchased in May with a V1. I have read up on the V1 as much as possible. However, I have a concern about the V1 being able to tell me as much information as the X50 can(while in expert mode). Anyway, on to the question.

If the V1 detects both a Ka and a K band radar signal, which of the following happens:
    • Ka lights up and one bogey is shown(Ouch).
Ka lights up and two bogeys are shown(I assume this happens).
Ka and K light up and two bogeys are shown(I would prefer is this happened).

Any other information comparing/contrasting the pros and cons of the X50 vs. the V1 is appreciated.

K and Ka light up, 2 bogeys are shown, and the arrow(s) light up to indicate the direction of both bogeys. The stronger of the two is displayed in the signal meter and will cause the corresponding arrow and/or band indicator to flash.

So, for example: stronger K front, weaker Ka rear: K flashes, Ka steady, front arrow flashes, rear arrow steady, audio and meter indicate K bogey strength.

K and Ka front, Ka is stronger: Front arrow lights, K lights, Ka flashes, meter and audio indicate Ka bogey.

From 3 to 9 bogeys, works the same way. Flashing arrow and band indicator, as well as signal meter and audio alert correspond to the strongest signal.

In general, the V1 does a superior job unless you have an interest in knowing the frequency of the police radar unit.

In your question above, it would display 2 bogeys, the Ka and K lights would illuminate and i believe the greater perceived threat (Ka) will have it's warning light flashing (vs. steady for the K). The directional arrow will flash according to the stronger signal, IIRC.

There's tons of info - - this is one design feature where the V1 excels and is 2nd to none.

Thanks for the quick replies and the additional information about the audio and arrows alerts.

From what you have told me, the V1 seems to do a much better job of analyzing radar signals than the X50. I also like the remote display capabilities of the V1. I think I will be purchasing a V1(along with a remote display, and hardwiring them) in the very near future, and selling my X50 to a friend or on eBay.

I love how sometimes I can be in an urban area with police presence and it's all:

    Laser unlit
    Ka lit
    K lit
    X lit

Showing like 7 or 8 sources of radar with all 3 arrows lit up with the Ka arrow flashing 8)

Yeah, I'm really looking into switching up my X50 Blue for a V1.

But, I don't know if I should wait for the bugs to clear outta the 3.825 (and how long will it be till the next update?), or should I keep my X50 Blue and just get the V1.

My X50 Blue didn't pick up, what I'm assuming, (Laser radar) when the sitting city cop nailed the yellow Mazda RX-8 zipping by me. I was shocked when my X50 didn't go off.

    Anything offered is well appreciated.

    Thanks
