Default V1 Hardwire Question - LAST STEP!

I'M ALMOST DONE HARDWIRING! I finally conjured up the ca hones to do a DIY hardwire on my V1 and I'm on my last step and I need some help. So I was able to route the RJ-11 through the ceiling, down the A-Frame, and into the glove compartment area where all the wiring for my JVC 12 CD changer is.

    So here are my questions...

    1) My fuse box has my 12 CD changer power cord (12V) running directly from the fuse box, through the firewall into the glove compartment area. Can I use the blue clip thing adapter that came with the V1 and hook directly into that same wire that provides power to the CD player. (picture attached)??

    2) If I can use the same cable as the CD player...can I use both devices (CD player and V1) at the same time...safely?

    3) The grounding bolt is occupied by the CD changer ground...Can I hook up the V1 ground to the same bolt?

    THANK YOU!

1 yes as long as it turns off with the key, make sure that there is no power to that wire when the key is off.

1.i am not sure what blue clip adaptor, if is like this or similar i wouldn`t use it, it cuts the original wire to get power from it.

go with conectors like in first pic that u have or solder the wires and heatshrink.
    2. check your cd changer amps and what fuse amps u have , if is over or close u may get in trouble.

You're wrong, my countermeasure setup is loaded with these and everything works find, no power is cut anywhere, they're splices.

this kind of splice have blades that cut your original wire not all the way , u would not have problems at all , but if are install in an area where the wires are in stress it may end up ugly. it`s all. i prefer solder or busconector, but is just me.

Well, now you have to post pics of your hardwired V1! I'm glad that the hardwire installation went smoothly.

Everything is working smoothly except the cord I spliced into was a non-switched cord. But that doesnt matter to me since for the time being, I'm not getting the concealed display and will be turning off the V1 every time I leave my car...Pics tomorrow

Thanks again everyone for your advice
