Valentine One Radar Detector unit inside question

Hallo guys long time no see.
my friend open Valentine One Radar Detector unit, inside there was a resistor, cicle, what's that doing for ?

This resistor can influces the V1 receiving sensitive.
Somce unit have this part, and some unit do not have this part.
Or Valentine Research want to do something.

I believe it has something to do with correcting the bouncing around of the side arrows and to make them more accurate.
