Well, today was probably the best day of performance and activity I have yet to have with my V1. Sure up to this point I have had saves and encounters, but nothing like today. The planets must have been aligned because the LEO's were out in force today in Alabama. Started off early this morning with my girlfriend. Driving to lunch I get a Ka blip. Had 1.2 miles of alert before I saw him parked in the median over a slight rise. Got on him just in time to see a mercedes meet his fate. A chuckle since I knew what all the brake dancers didn't for quite some time.
Then came the interstate ride back to Birmingham today. 7, count em, 7 encounters. Everything ranging from Ka state troopers, to K band county sheriffs. Most of the time warning was significant enough for me to get slowed and merged to the right lane. Only time it wasn't was an LEO with only rear facing radar turned on. 4 of them were hunting, 2 with customers and 1 roaming about.
Lastly, on the way home from Watchmen tonight I was in my neighborhood. No more than 1/4 mile from my house I get a warning from another motorist with some flashing lights. V1 is quiet, hit the breaks and get it down to 35 from 50. Bam, I/O Ka. Painted me twice. No cars in front of me either. Even with the V1 I would have been dead as fried chicken.
The V1 is one of the greatest things I have ever bought. My girlfriend has even come to appreciate it. However she does give me some disapproving looks after a save when I am yelling joyous obsenities and patting the V1 on the display. God I love this thing.
