Interesting. I've read Craig Peckerhead's account of the lost years of Mike V, when he was under the noncompete and how he formed VR. Never thought it was valid because of the source but a lot of what is in these stories on this site jives with what Peckerwad said.

He basically was out of the business for most of the 80's. Remember, the V1 was introduced in 1992. I believe he formed VR around 1990.
