Default Pictures of V1 mounted in my WRX

I thought I would share what it looks like in my car before I get a limo tint strip across the top of my windshield.

Pretty darn slick buddy. I am hesitant to use the suction cups. I feel much safer with the visor. It is more secure and it does not leave evidence behind for theives

I apologize for the size of them but I didn't know how to downsize them before posting. The WRX visors are small and they do not let you keep your V1 level with the visor clip, the V1 is always tilted up or down. I HATE suction cups and this is why I will be putting limo tint at the top of my windshield regardless if it affects my laser perfromance or not. Also, laser is not really used much in my area, K and Ka are the most used.

    Default Resizing pictures

Here's an awesome tool for image re-sizing. Xp Image Re-sizer Powertoy. As the name suggests, it only works on Windows XP. Download here
    http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe

    and here's a screenshot:

It adds a "resize images" option to the right-click menu when you click on image files, which calls up the above screen.

Very nice, I use it all the time.

This was taken from the V1 site:

"Mounting high behind the tint band may reduce the laser signal somewhat, but it reduces the sunlight contamination by the same amount. The result is an unchanged laser-to-sunlight ratio from the scene beyond your vehicle, but with reduced hood reflections owing to a higher vantage point—a net gain. Only in the dead of night would a just-below-the-tint-band mounting position be beneficial.

The downside of high mounting is the move away from the most common aiming points. This means that in bright sunlight, you may miss the occasional direct hit from very close range—no detection at all! But that's possible with a low mounting as well, just not as often. "

This was taken from V1 about reduced radar reception.

I don't have one of the "terrible" cars that they talk about and my car is tinted with non-metallized tint on every window except for the top of the windshield as of today so my radar range shouldn't be affected as far as I know.

Yeah i know where you are coming from m8, i had a 02 WRX and mounting it was near impossible.... oh it was the same colour as yours too

I have my Bel mounted in the tint band and it seems to get pretty good range on detection...

Hmm...id say resize those pics and rehost em...my eyes hurt..haha
