Got lucky

Drove my friend's VW GLI yesterday to work--left my V1 in my car. I was doing 70 in a 55 zone and suddenly noticed a white patrol car on the side of the road.

I immediately slowed down, but too late. He turned his lights on--then turned them off!

Lesson learned: Don't leave home without the V1. Would have been my first ticket since 1988!

P.S.- THe GLI is a blast to drive.

One of the reasons I went to radar detectors in every vehicle, kept forgetting to swap it out from one to the other. Now I have 2 in 2 of the vehicles, just need permission to install a 9500ci in the little woman's car.

Also got lucky last night, blew my head gasket last on my DD and was using a diff car, without my V1, and saw a cop sitting in Universal, and would've been fked if he was actually running radar, doing 55 in a 35.
