Went on a trip to the beach this past weekend with a few friends for a bachelor party. I was not driving, but my friend asked me to bring along the V1 to put in his car. I complied and we started heading south on 65. Immediately I got the feeling that this was not going to be a good trip as he was speeding, staying in the left lane, and was not effectively using rabbits. Noticing this, I explained to him that even though we have the V1, there is something called Instant On which is pretty much bulletproof if you don't have good tactics.
That must not have sunk in with him. As we were rounding a small bend, I caught a glimpse of a state trooper parked facing traffic in a small clearing of trees. I yelled and and half a second later full Ka lock. I said game over and sure enough, ticket for 91 in a 70.
What really hacks me off is that he still thinks that the V1 could have done something to avoid this and made several remarks about it. Its his fault. He later shut up though as the V1 sniffed out a K band trap from about a mile over a hill and around a turn.
So, if you guys ever find yourself traveling through AL, be warned that our staties are well trained in I/O speed measurement.
