Why Isn't My Concealed Display Working?

I've hooked these up before without any problem, but this one isn't working. Here's how it's hooked up...

Main cord from power to V1...other cord from "accessory" to concealed display...

I ran the accessory cord in place of the coiled cord and it powered the V1, so I know the cord is good...

maybe the display is bad...or maybe there's a short in the plug that powers the accessory

Is the accessory cord an original (that came with the display), or a phone cord you dug up?

If it's a phone cord, it has to be a 4 conductor cord, not a 2 conductor cord. Also, the pinouts should be the opposite on each end of the cord (standard phone cords are like this, as are the cords that come with the V1).

Try swapping the two cords, or try another cord, and see if that works. And make sure you're plugged into the correct jacks on the lighter plug (one is marked "accessory", the display should be plugged into that jack).

Lastly, maybe the display is bad.

I'm using the right ports...the cord to the CD is just a phone cord I dug up though. I'll check it out tonight...

I did the same thing you did and used a phone cord that I dug up and it did not work either.
You can use a phone cord but it has to be the correct type.
Try a different cord and that will fix your problem I bet.
