As I was driving home last night I tuned into the local sheriff's dept on the scanner to find out where all the "action" was at. I heard one of the deputy's relay back to dispatch that they had someone pulled over about a mile up the road. A little bit later I saw the deputy's cruiser with their victim pulled over. I got over in the left lane and passed them with no alert. I had already passed the street where I lived, but I could not resist testing my new V1. I then heard the deputy call back to dispatch and tell them that she was leaving the scene. I turned around and headed back the other direction to see if I could spot her. After going past a well known false alarm I received another blinking arrow pointing straight ahead with a weak signal. I knew she was somewhere around so I was doing well within the PSL. All of a sudden the signal meter went straight open on a full alert. This happened 2 more times in 3 sec. intervals. My question is why blast me twice more when the first was probably sufficient. Keep in mind I was the only car traveling that direction, she was parked beside the left lane with the rear of the car pointed at me. I couldn't tell what type of signal I was getting because it was dark and my V1 is mounted high.
